Christmas flyers

A Christmas flyer announces a festive meal or party: title, date, time, venue and, if you have one, the gift rule. Templates in pine green, burgundy and gold, with a photo of a tree, candles or a laid table, set the tone at once. Free flyers: every template can be edited as soon as your account is open, with no subscription.

21 templates for this occasion. Pick one, then change the title, colours, photo or language in the editor. The events shown are fictitious.

What should a Christmas Eve invitation say?

A Christmas Eve invitation carries the flyer and adds what the picture does not say: the exact address, what each guest brings, the gift rule and the link to reply. Sent three to four weeks ahead, it beats the December rush.

In Carton Blanc, the flyer goes out with the invitation and replies land in your guest list. The flyer is free; sending invitations is paid, per event or by subscription.

“Christmas Eve dinner on Thursday 24 December from 7.30 pm, [address]. A small gift of about €10 each for the draw. Please reply by 10 December: [link].”

How do you choose a Christmas flyer?

For a family meal, pick a warm template with a photo of a tree or candles. For a party with friends or colleagues, a bolder, more graphic template.

If children are invited, say so in the tagline and keep the title short enough for them to read.

What goes on a Christmas flyer?

  • The title: “Christmas at…”, “Christmas Eve dinner”.
  • The date and time (24th evening, 25th lunch, or a December weekend).
  • The venue and town.
  • The gift rule, if there is one.
  • The reply-by date, so you can plan the meal.

How do you keep it legible?

Keep script typefaces for the title: the date and address stay in a plain one. On a photo full of lights, pick a template with a band or frame so the text does not get lost in the glare.

Examples of opening lines

  • “Family Christmas, Friday 25 December at noon.”
  • “Christmas Eve by candlelight.”
  • “A small gift each, drawn at random.”
  • “Young and old, around the tree.”
